Benamin Zander: TED Talk on Music and Passion
"Since 1979, Benjamin Zander has been the conductor of the Boston Philharmonic. He is known around the world as both a guest conductor and a speaker on leadership -- and he's been known to do both in a single performance. He uses music to help people open their minds and create joyful harmonies that bring out the best in themselves and their colleagues." - from the TED Talks website
I absolutely love this video. It's funny when he talks about "shining eyes" because whenever I'm staring out in a crowd of parents, teens on Confirmation, or at a parish mission, I'm always looking for those shining eyes. When I don't find them, I readjust my strategy to try and light them up.
Special shot out to D. Scott Miller's blog, which first introduced me to this video. Mad props to a real pro.
